After weeks without human contact it is normal to experience psychological discomfort. Research indicates symptoms may be partly alleviated by adopting a pet, or anthropomorphizing an inanimate object.
― PDA, Dialogue

The Moonpool is a Seabase module. It is constructed with the Habitat Builder and its main function is the docking and undocking of the Seamoth and the PRAWN Suit.
A power source is needed to be able to dock vehicles. The vehicles will also be charged from the base's Energy if in Freedom Mode, Survival Mode, or Hardcore Mode, at a cost of 200 Energy to completely fill a depleted Power Cell. The vehicle's Power Cells will be recharged at a much faster rate than if one were to use a Power Cell Charger.
The Moonpool also allows the player to access their base via two ladders on either end.
The Vehicle Modification Station can only be constructed in the Moonpool. It allows the player to customize their docked vehicle.
To build the Moonpool it requires 2 Fragments, these can be found in Wrecks

Recipe
Raw Materials
A Moonpool requires 4 Titanium Ingots, 4 Lubricants and 1 Advanced Wiring Kit to construct. The following list details all the raw materials needed to build 1 Moonpool from scratch.
- 40 Titanium
- 12 Creepvine Seed Cluster
- 2Table Coral Sample
- 2 Gold Ore
- 1 Quartz
- 1 Silver Ore
Refine 40 Titanium into 4 Titanium Ingots. Refine 12 Creepvine Seed Clusters into 4 Lubricant. Refine 2 Table Coral Samples, 1 Quartz and 1 Silver Ore into 1 Computer Chip. Refine 2 Gold Ore and 1 Computer Chip into 1 Advanced Wiring Kit. Then follow the recipe given above.
Data Bank Entry
The moonpool is an essential module for long-term exploration. Its primary function is as a dock for vehicles such as the Seamoth submersible. The large central chamber contains a pressurized pool which provides ready access to the surrounding waters, and comes as standard with equipment for raising and recharging a vehicle. It is recommended the builder tool be used to outfit the moonpool with a vehicle modification station at your earliest convenience. This will enable the fabrication of upgrade modules, amongst other things. Ratings:

Trivia
- The fragments for the Moonpool are all found below 200 meters, past the Seamoth's base crush depth, making it one of the more difficult to acquire blueprints. There are only a few Seamoth upgrades that are ready to install without being crafted in the world. As well, new upgrades for the Seamoth cannot be built without the Moonpool. There are two solutions to this problem; the first is to locate the one depth upgrade that can be installed via the Seamoth's accessible upgrade panel or to go to the Grand Reef wreck and park your Seamoth above the wreck, then Seaglide the remaining distance in order to retrieve the Moonpool fragments.
