It fires the gas from the Gas Pods, creating a damaging cloud of poison. The gas cloud deals 40 damage to the player almost instantly during contact, and will decrease the Food significantly. This does a better job at deterring large predators than the Seamoth Vortex Torpedo, since most of them are unaffected by the vortex created by the latter. The icon for the Seamoth Gas Torpedo is different in your inventory than when out of your inventory, while in the water it has the exact same design as the Seamoth Vortex Torpedo.
