The Seamoth Vortex Torpedo is a consumable non-lethal ammunition that is used in-conjunction with the Seamoth Torpedo System Upgrade Module for the Seamoth. The Seamoth Vortex Torpedoes are loaded into the torpedo silos in front of the Seamoth.

Each torpedo silo can hold four Seamoth Vortex Torpedoes and a Seamoth can have up to four torpedo silos depending on the upgrade configuration. When the Seamoth Torpedo System is first installed it will provide two Seamoth Vortex Torpedoes per module.

For convenience Seamoth Storage Solution module can be used to store extra Vortex Torpedoes but they will have to be manually loaded into the torpedo silos.

The Seamoth Vortex Torpedoes can be used to strategically distract and disorient the larger Creatures in the game for a short time. It does this by creating a small whirlpool that causes creatures to be pulled in and swirled around. This gives the player enough time to escape.
