Template:Infobox Biome The Active Lava Zone is an in-development biome, located below the Inactive Lava Zone around 1300 to 1700 meters deep. Within the Active Lava Zone the Emperor Facility can be found, presumably this is where the Sea Emperor will be encountered.[Citation needed]

Description

The Active Lava Zone is much smaller than the Inactive Lava Zone, but has much more volcanic activity.[1] Lava lakes and falls are a common sight in this biome, along with obsidian pillars and magma formations. The zone is separated in three areas.

Falls

The Lava Falls can be found going from the inactive lava zone above to the main chamber below. These large pits act as entrances to the active lava zone, and can be found near the Lava Castle.

Active Lava Zone Chamber

The chamber consists of a huge lava lake, with occasional lava falls and masses of magma.

Emperor Facility

Below the chamber is an area labelled Emperor Facility. It consists of a large open sandy area located under the active lava zone. The deepest part of this area can only be accessed by an Exosuit equipped with a Pressure Compensator MK3. The Emperor Facility is further divided into two areas, the facility, and the aquarium.

Trivia

  • Precursor Base will be present in this biome in the form of the Sea Emperor's "prison" and the Emperor facility.
  • Three size ref models can be found within the Active Lava Zone. They are most likely for scaling or marking locations of future landmarks.
