The Player is the main protagonist of Subnautica. He survived the impact from the Aurora by escaping into Lifepod 5.
Appearance
The player is a young, fit man with dark eyes and hair. He has a long face, pronounced features, and blue streaks in his hair.
The player appears to have a good degree of stamina, able to swim for long distances and holding his breath for long periods of time.
Behaviour
The player does not typically speak, but can be heard gasping for air if he stays under for too long, and letting out shrieks of pain if he is attacked. He will also yawn when he gets out of the Bed.
Pre-Crash
Not much is know about the player's life before the crash of the Aurora, however, he was a member of the Alterra corporation, and was on board the Aurora prior to the crash.
Post-Crash
The player is seen boarding and launching Lifepod 5 during the descent of the Aurora. After being knocked out by a loose panel, the player then proceeds to put out a fire inside the lifepod with using a Fire Extinguisher. Afterwards, he activates his PDA, and the user is able to take full control of him.
