Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Crabsquid is an in-development life form belonging to the fauna category that has yet to be implemented in the game. However, it can be spawned in using console commands.

Appearance

The Crabsquid's main body has two layers; a translucent, bulbous sac resembling a comb jelly's body, and a shimmering, brown green body similar to that of a real life squid's mantle, albeit being covered with an outer shell or exoskeleton

The Crabsquid's head consists of two pairs of large eyes and an oddly shaped mandible below them.

The Crabsquid's ten limbs are also brown and smooth. Some of them have pointed tips, others have fins, and the two shortest ones near its mouth form a pair of small pincers, capable of grasping.

Behaviour

The Crabsquid will aimlessly swim around on its own, however, if the player or any other creature should get close to it, it will attack, instantly killing small creatures and removing 40% of health from the player.

The Crabsquid will also land on the seabed, and push itself in any direction.

Similiar to the Bone Shark, the Crabsquid is attracted to light, and will follow any type of light source, meaning it can be distracted using lights from the Cyclops, Seamoth, and Flares.

The Crabsquid will land on the seabed and walk around, however, sometimes it may just stay still.

The Crabsquid can be observed catching and eating smaller fauna.
