Template:Infobox Biome The Grand Reef is currently the largest biome in Subnautica. It covers a considerable portion Southern and Southwestern corner of the map, and also is a very deep area, offering a wide range of diving possibilities to the players.
Around seven types of fauna populate the Grand Reef, including edible ones such as Spadefishes, Boomerangs and Hoopfishes. There is also a healthy population of some larger fauna like Bone Sharks and Jellyrays.
The Grand Reef is also known for its unique types of flora, featuring the luminous Floating Stones along with the pecuiar Membrain Trees. They are found almost everywhere in the biome.
The most common harvesting node in the Grand Reef are Basalt Outcrops.
Notable deeper areas, including the Deep Grand Reef, have many hydrothermal vents known as "Black Smokers", located in the Southwestern corner of the map.
The depth range can vary from around 60m to over 500m. Some parts of this biome can reach up to the surface, located near the Sparse Reef.

Trivia
- Being considered as the largest biome, the Grand Reef's diversity in fauna and flora, however, is subpar in comparison with other biomes, like the Grassy Plateaus or the Kelp Forest.
