Like Hoopfishes, Spinefishes are cathemeral and easy to catch. Since the H2.0 update, they can be cooked.
In the future, the Spinefish may spawn in the Lost River[1].

The Spinefish nearly ressembles a Hoopfish, with some notable differences.
