Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora Jellyrays are life forms belonging to the fauna category.

They can be seen roaming the Mushroom Forest, Jelly Shroom Caves, Grand ReefSea Treader's Path, and Sea Treader's Tunnel Caves. They are also curious to light, and will be very likely to check any nearby lightsource.

Appearance

The Jellyray has a translucent, fragile-looking body, and emits a permanent bioluminescent glow. It has a long, thin tail and six smaller undulating tentacles protruding from both of its sides. Its main body glows a violet hue, with bright pink patterns on its back.

The Jellyray has six eyes of various sizes on each side running in a line along the length of its torso.

Data Bank Entry

Shares some evolutionary traits with the rabbit ray, including highly poisonous flesh. This species has adapted to low-light environments with a translucent, luminescent body. This may help to:

  • Light up the surrounding area for foraging
  • Ward away predators
  • Identify the organism to others of its kind

Smaller creatures have been seen swimming in the jellyray's wake to take advantage of the light source for their own ends.

Assessment: Inedible
