Template:Infobox Biome The Grand Reef is currently the largest biome in Subnautica. It covers the Southern and Southwestern corner of the map, offering a wide range of diving possibilities for many players.
Around seven types of fauna populate the Grand Reef, including edible ones such as Spadefishes, Boomerangs and Hoopfishes. There are also healthy populations of some larger fauna like Bone Sharks and Jellyrays.
The Grand Reef is also known for its unique types of flora, featuring the luminous Floating Stones along with many Membrane Trees. They are found almost everywhere in the area with different types of resources covering the ground around the flora. Notable areas include the Deep Grand Reef, where the thermal vents called "Smokers" are located in the Southwestern corner of the map.
The most common harvesting node in the Grand Reef are Basalt Chunks. The depth range can variate from around 60m to over 500m. Some parts of Grand Reef reach up to the surface, located nearby the Sparse Reef biome.
