Large yellow eyes are positioned on either side of the head. The majority of the body is composed of a translucent gelatinous material. The spine is clearly visible underneath. Many spikes protrude from both the upper and lower sides of the spine. Four tendrils trail from behind the head. A set of gill slits are present on both sides of the body. |

The Spine Eel has a thin and elongated body. The head has a pointed snout and grey leather-like skin. A large jaw with long teeth makes up a large portion of the face. Large yellow eyes are positioned on either side of the head. The majority of the body is composed of a translucent gelatinous material. The spine is clearly visible underneath.
