They can also be found in various other biomes, though to a much lesser degree.

Appearance

Thermal Spires are tall and conical with a hole at the top of each spire. The hole constantly emits a black smog-like substance, much like Black Smokers do in real life. A yellow sap-like substance can be seen oozing from the hole at the top of each spire.

Colonies of Tree Spires Purple Coral and Glowing Coral Shelves, which normally grow on Tree Spires, can be observed growing on Thermal Spires near the border of the Tree Spires Biome.
