Description

The Purple Vent is a yellow, dome-like structure, resembling a fumarole. Unlike most geothermal vents, the rim of the vent is noticeably serrated. Most of the structures erupt continuously or periodically, emitting an unknown purple substance capable of burning the player. Some Purple Vents are completely dormant. For the vents that erupt periodically, the eruption lasts for a short period of time, up until solid material infused with the purple substance proceeds to distend from beneath the structure. The material eventually bursts, allowing the vent to erupt again.

A larger than normal Purple Vent can be found in the deepest section of the Deep Purple Vents, not being found anywhere else.
