An ancestor hypothesised by the PDA A large ray species with forward-facing eyes that was the last common ancestor of the lineages that gave rise to the Crimson Ray, Ghostray, Jellyray and Rabbit Ray. The PDA states that the Alpha Ray would have most closely resembled the Ghostray. The Alpha Ray descended from a predatory lineage, though all of its ancestors adapted towards an herbivorous lifestyle.
