Most upgrades are crafted from materials and technologies using the fabricator. They are found on the menu point that says "Submarine".

Upgrades to the Cyclops can be placed in the Upgrade Console in the engine room of the Cyclops. Three types of upgrades available increase the Cyclops' crush depth while the Power Upgrade Module improves the Cyclops' power efficiency. The former three upgrade modules are crafted, while the latter one is found on board of the Aurora.

Upgrades to the Seamoth can be placed in the Upgrade Console in the central room of the upper deck of the Cyclops. One of the upgrades increases the Seamoth's power efficiency, while the other one allows the Seamoth to recharge its batteries in sunlight.
