Template:Class 2 FaunaThe Holefish is a small, passive fauna species, usually found near and within cavernous areas. It is catchable and edible.
The Holefish is very small in comparison to other common fish like Peepers or Garryfish.
Appearance
The Holefish is blue and purple on the head and tail, while the upper part of the body is brown with yellow vertical stripes ending in yellow dots.
Its head is shaped like an arrow, of which the tip is the mouth and the top and bottom are the control fins. This makes it look somewhat similar to a peeper. It has two eyes on either side of its head with a light blue bioluminescent iris and black pupils.
It has a large hole in its tail, after which it is named.
Behavior
The Holefish is very agile and evasive, often seen darting around cave systems' entrances alone or in shoals. It flees when approached by the player.
Holefish can be found following Reefback Leviathans along with many other species of edible fauna.
