The Swimming Speed of the player without any items in the inventory or fins is ~5.7 meters per second. Swim speed can be modified with fins crafted by the player using the fabricator or workbench. Fins add ~+16% to top speed, whilst Ultra Glide Fins add ~+33% to top speed. Having items in the inventory can slow the player down. Currently, the fastest way of traveling is the Seamoth. In the future, the fastest will be the Powerglide.
