Hoopfish are cathemeral and easy to catch, as they do not retreat from the player and are bioluminescent.

Appearance

The Hoopfish is a small and slim fish slightly smaller than other common fish like Peepers and Airsacks. The Hoopfish Is a dark violet colour that transitions into blue towards the head, around Its mouth it is a neon green colour. It has two green eyes and a small fin on its back. The Hoopfish's most distinct feature is a neon green bioluminescent hoop that extends from the top and bottom of its head and bends around its tail. There appears to be a small fan made out of fur on the very end of its tail.
