Trivia

  • The idea of the Stillsuit was borrowed from Frank Herbert's Dune universe. In the novels and films, which play on the desert planet Arakis, the native Fremen wear Stillsuits in order to conserve water. The Stillsuit is able to filter bodily fluids and feces, dissipate heat, and to retain and reclaim moisture. As a result, the loss in moisture is reduced to a bare minimum.[1]
  • Markings on the arm indicate that the Dive Suit has been designed or issued by the Alterra Corporation. Similar markings can be found on some tools in the game Natural Selection 2, which was also developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
