A Ladder has to be constructed inside the Vertical Connector to use it. Only one ladder is needed no matter the length of the Vertical Connector. The Vertical Connector is constructed with the Habitat Builder and lowers the hull integrity value by 0.5 units at the surface. Vertical Connectors can be placed on the floors and ceiling-panels of all compatible modules. Vertical Connectors currently work on the following base modules:
- Basic Compartment
- Glass Compartment (bottom only)
- T Compartment
- X Compartment
