A lot of Concept Art has been created and continues to be created by the developers of the game Subnautica. Cory Strader, who is employed as Art Director at Unknown Worlds Entertainment, has created much of the Concept Art shown below. However many initial designs were also created by Pat Presley, who is a freelance artist known for his work on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series.

Concept Art is made for future features of the games, although the designs are subject to change during the course of development. There is Concept Art for biomes, vehicles, and life forms. Not everything that is shown in the Concept Art will make it into the game.
