Template:Infobox Biome The Mushroom Forest is a biome located 125 to 200 meters below sea level.

It is characterised by large tree-like coral structures and brownish grass on the ground. The biome is dominated by a single Giant Coral Tree with a Mushroom Forest Cave inside.

Coral Trees

The Coral Trees consist of a tall coral stem with mushroom caps protruding branch-like from them. The trees grow to different heights and can grow up to 100 meters tall. The largest Coral Trees often have basalt chunks at the top. Some of them will also grow lithium on their bark.

The player can break off the mushroom caps by hitting them with the knife or colliding with them while driving a submarine, causing them to slowly drift to the ground.

Giant Coral Tree

The Mushroom Forest is dominated by a single Giant Coral Tree. Its roots spread throughout the entire forest that it is in.

This Giant Coral Tree is unique in various ways. Not only can dozens of basalt chunks be found on its stem, top, branches, and roots, but it is also the only Coral Tree that is accessible by the player. Apart from a small cave at its base, there is also a larger cavern that goes all the way from the top to the base of the tree, with two entrances located at the top and the base. In this cave, more basalt chunks and plants native to the Mushroom Forest can be found, with Blue Clusters and Barnacle Suckers lighting the way.

Due to the depth of the cave and the resulting drowning hazard, it is strongly recommended to navigate the Seamoth into it. However, this can be rather difficult.
