The Secondary Bio-Research Facility is an in-development Precursor Base located in the Lost River that was built around one thousand years ago, some time before the imprisonment of the Sea Emperor in the Primary Research Facility. Here creatures were infected with the Carar bacterium. Surviving specimens were then sent to the Primary Research Facility for further testing in order to synthesize an antidote for the Carar bacterium.
This precursor base is heavily damaged and will be completely filled with water, resting on the floor, partially suspended by several cables, while other cables were torn off after the base was attacked and destroyed in an attack by an escaped Sea Dragon Leviathan - an event that also unleashed the Carar bacterium into the native ecosystem and prompted the Precursors to initiate their planetary quarantine by activating the Precursor Ground-To-Air Weapon System.
The Secondary Bio-Research Facility was set up partially to study the skeleton in the Bones Field of the Lost River - the remains of a creature stated to be either a Sea Dragon Leviathan of sorts or a close genetic cousin of it.

Future Plans
- A Warper repair room may be found inside the Secondary Bio-Research Facility. This room will contain an inactive Warper, as well as assorted Warper parts.
- A "Precursor Finder" found at the Precursor Ground-To-Air Weapon System will be used to locate the facility.
- Various skeletons of fauna will be found in tanks inside the Secondary Bio-Reseach Facility, and possibly fauna in suspended animation.
- The Secondary Bio-Research Facility will be divided into three rooms.
