This article is about the Ghostray. You may be looking for the Crimson Ray or the Jellyray.

The Ghostray is passive life form, belonging to the fauna category, that spawns exclusively in the Lost River Tree Cove.

It produces a very loud, guttural noise - similar to those made by whales.

Appearance

The Ghostray is very large, and possesses a body structure similar to that of real life manta rays. It's inner body resembles that of a Jellyray, but is entirely translucent and emits a cyan bioluminescence. It has two glowing red organs behind the eyes, as well as another, non-bioluminescent, organ just above the base of the tail.

Behavior

The Ghostray is a docile creature, spending a majority of its time swimming aimlessly around in the Lost River Tree Cove.

The Ghostray is related to the Jellyray.
It may also be related to the Rabbitray, although this link is rather weak and is only implied via the databank entry of the Jellyray.
There is a subspecies of the Ghostray, called the Crimson Ray, that is found only in the Inactive Lava Zone.
The databank entry of the Crimson Ray suggests that their common ancestor was a carnivore.
