Template:Edible Fauna Template:Edible Fauna The Spadefish is a [[::Category:Attitude: Passive|passive]] life form belonging to the fauna category, it is extremely common and can be found in many biomes.

The Spadefish is very easy to catch, making them a reliable food source.

Appearance

The Spadefish is small in size and has a flat, irregularly-formed body. It has two small pectoral fins and one long dorsal fin that extends across its tail protuding from the back of its triangular head. Next to its side fins, two tendrils extend towards the tail, to which they connect about mid-way.

The Spadefish has a broad, yet low, mouth lined with small white teeth at the front, on top of which lies a single large eye with a black pupil that is split into two halves. A small concave black stripe goes up from the tip of its mouth.

Most of the Spadefish's body is blue in color with a few light blue dots, except for the reddish pink area around the eye and the bright red fins. Its fins and dots emit [[::Category:Bioluminescent|bioluminescent]] glows, making it easy to spot at night.

Behavior

The Spadefish swims at a moderate pace. It mostly hovers on the seabed and will occasionally flee from the player upon approached.
