The compass is a basic navigational device with cardinal direction indicators.
Due to its ability to tell the player where they are looking, it can be used for:
- Keeping track of salvaged areas
- Navigation with SeaGlide,Seamoth, and Cyclops
- Creation of maps (out of game)
Recipe
The compass takes up one (1) slot in player inventory.
The compass shows at the top middle of the screen, under the depth meter.
Facing South (S).
