Takes up a 2x2 area in player [http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Storage inventory]. Does attract fish and any item dropped by the player. Do not place in open water, mainly because schools of fish will run off with the Gravsphere. |

The Gravsphere is a great item to use in early game for fishing. It does take up a 2x2 area in the player [http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Storage inventory] and can take up valuable space when not fishing in the early part of the game. Later in the game (after constructing a [http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Cyclops Cyclops]), the [http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Stasis_Rifle#comm-2755 Stasis Rifle] is the a much more efficient way to go fishing. |

Usage
The Grav Trap takes up 2×2 item slots in the player's Inventory. Although it requires a Battery to be built, it does not use energy. The Grav Trap attracts fish and any small item that can be picked up manually within reach. Plant material, such as Creepvine Seed Clusters, are the exception. It is best to place it on the ocean floor.
It is suggested to remove the objects caught by the Grav Trap before picking up the sphere. If the player is in the open ocean, currents may send the objects 30 meters or more away if the player picks up the Grav Trap with objects still attached it.
Spoiler alert: The following section contains story related material. |

If placed beside an Alien Vent, the Grav Trap can provide near infinite food. |
Using the Stasis Rifle or Propulsion Cannon is more effective for hunting than the Grav Trap.
