Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Reaper Leviathan is currently the largest aggressive life form in Subnautica, belonging to the fauna category.
The Reaper cannot harm the Cyclops, though it has enough strength to push it.
Several Reaper Leviathans reside near the Aurora, guarding the area. However, it mainly dwells vast, open biomes like the Dunes and the Mountains. It spawns rarely and the chances of running into it are very slim.
Appearance
The Reaper Leviathan is a colossal creature. If fins and head protrusions are included, the creature is about 2.5 times higher and 10 times longer than the Seamoth.
The Reaper Leviathan possesses a long, slim, muscularly built body with four caudal fins and two pectoral fins, with all of the latter brown tipped. It also has two dorsal fins running along the length of its entire body, and two ventral fins taking a small portion of its belly. Most of its fins, along with its back, are red in color.
On its head features a large mouth, as well as two pairs of green eyes along with large red, brown tipped mandibles on each side, resembling a large ram. Most of the body is blue-shaded white in color, having seemingly smooth skin.
Behavior
The Reaper Leviathan usually emits loud, echoey and menacing roars audible even from a great distance.
It also seems to circle its prey (or more commonly the player) for a few moments before attacking, and often strikes from behind by surprise.
If the Reaper Leviathan manages to grab the player, the creature will hold its victim in its mandibles, pause for a second while roaring, and then proceed to pull the player into its mouth, killing them instantly.
Abilities
The Reaper Leviathan is able to instantly kill any players it attacks outside of their submarine. It is also capable of grabbing the Seamoth and shake it around, doing so would deal about 40 - 60% damage over about ten seconds to the vehicle before letting go.
The Reaper Leviathan has been observed to grab a Seamoth and smash it down to the seabed, destroying it completely afterwards.
Although the Reaper Leviathan cannot destroy the Cyclops, it can be observed pushing it down, sometimes below the crush depth.
Data Entry
Motivational note: This lifeform is categorized as a leviathan class predator. Congratulations on getting close enough to scan it and on living to see the results!
-Scanned specimen measured 55m long
-Oberved circling its prey and attacking from behind
-Four powerful mandible claws lock prey in place while the reaper consumes it
-Simulated pressure on jaw exceeds Seamoth crush resistance
-This creature is all muscle. No brain. No reflexes. No sense of morality. Just muscle, sinew, and teeth.
Prey: Everything
Predators: ???
Assesment: Avoid without appropiate safety equipment
Future Plans
- The Reaper Leviathan will also spawn outside of the playable area.[1]
