The Sandshark is a large hostile animal in subnautica. It is located in the [[Kelp Forest]] and [[Grassy Plateaus]] biomes. Sandsharks commonly stay close to the sea floor. As their name implies, they like to burrow into the sand and wait for unsuspecting to prey to swim by so they can attack. The Sandshark attracts prey to its location by shuffling around in the sand creating a cloud around itself causing the player to go near it in curiosity. Once the player is close enough to the Sandshark, it will emerge from the sand and chase the player. However if the player swims to the surface, the Sandshark will break off the chase and return to the sea floor. Sandsharks also appears to be active at both day and night. When it's dark, the Sandsharks mouth has bioluminescent glow to it.
