Template:Infobox item The Scanner is a tool that is used to scan fragments in order to create blueprints. To acquire the blueprints of a particular object, the player needs to analyse the fragments for that object multiple times. The amount of times scanning is required varies based on the object. Each scan of one fragment takes approximately ten seconds. The Scanner is also able to scan Fauna, Flora, and Harvesting Nodes in order to create articles for the Databank.
When the cursor is pointing at a scannable object, a white circle appears in the middle of the screen. When scanning an object, if the cursor is moved off of it, the scan will be resumed from the previous precentage if resumed scanning the same entity in a timely manner. The Scanner has a range of 5 meters.
