Its name is derived from its bright red color. It is only found within the biome called Grassy Plateaus, which in turn derives its name from the wide-spread patches of Bloodgrass.
Bloodgrass cannot be farmed and does not drop anything when destroyed.

Bloodgrass looks very similar to the green grass encountered in the starting area. Each brushel consists of a small group of bright red blades of tall grass. They tend to grow close to each other in the Grassy Plateaus Biome, forming vast patches.
