Subnautica 2 (working title) is a sequel to Subnautica currently under development at Unknown Worlds Entertainment. Unlike its Unity-based predecessors, Subnautica 2 will be made in Unreal Engine 5[1] and, in addition to traditional singleplayer, feature an optional[2] 2-4 player co-op mode[1]. Not much is currently known about the game's setting, other than that it takes place sometime after the events of Below Zero[3] on an unknown, new planet[1].
