The Flashlight will generate light in the direction the player faces while it is equipped and switched on. It is useful for night dives and exploring caves. The Flashlight consumes Energy from a Battery while switched on. The Flashlight can provide up to 13 minutes and 20 seconds of light on a single full Battery charge (8 seconds per unit of energy).

Uses
The main use of the Flashlight is its ability to light up areas so that they are visible to the player. The Flashlight can also affect certain fauna in different ways. for example, Oculus will flee from the Flashlight's light, while some aggressive fauna like the Boneshark will be attracted to it.
If a Bleeder latches onto the player's arm, the player can use the Flashlight to hit the Bleeder.
The Flashlight can also be used to efficiently break nodes as it smashes them with one swing, and also provides light to easily locate said resources.
