Template:Infobox:Fauna Flora The Blood Kelp is a Life Form belonging to the Flora category. They are the main type of flora in the Blood Kelp Zone. An oily substance called Blood Oil can be harvested from pustules on their base.
Appearance
Blood Kelp are tall, Bioluminescent, white kelp-like plants reaching up to 80m in height. They attach to the seabed with an extensive root system. The central stalk or stipe is surrounded by bare kelp blades but the blades at the very top have small protrusions. Some Blood Kelp have a collection of blood oil pustules near the base of the stipe. At the very top of the plant there is a small pink opening.
