The Water Filtration Machine is a placeable item and constructed by the Builder. It can be built as a wall module in the seabase. It uses power whenever it’s working. Every ½ a day, it will generate a gallon of water (worth 80 water and takes 1x2) and 2 salt deposits, which it will store inside itself (acts like a normal storage locker, it’s a 2x2). If it’s full, it will turn off. You can only take things out of it, you can’t put anything in it. More info can be seen on the developer's Trello page.
The player will be able to construct it by using the Builder.
Speculation
Potentially, the Water Filtration Machine will be used for filtrating seawater and turn it into drinkable water for the player such as Filtered Water or Disinfected Water.
