The Water Filtration Machine is a placeable item planned for future builds of Subnautica.

It can be seen on the developer's Trello page.

The player will be able to construct it by using the Builder.

Speculation

Potentially, the Water Filtration Machine will be used for filtrating seawater and turn it into drinkable water for the player such as Filtered Water or Disinfected Water.
