It can be harvested for salt deposits without the use of any tools. Two can always be located southeast from Wreck 9 in the Northwestern Mushroom Forest. A few more can also be found within the Deep Grand Reef and other 3 on the underside of Underwater Islands. Purple Pinecones are unable to be scanned, and therefore have no databank entry.

Appearance

The Purple Pinecone is a small, spherical purple flower-shaped flora that seems to have a tough surface. It emits a dull bioluminescent glow.
