They cause freeze damage to the player and freeze fish that touch it in a similar standard to the Brinewing. Unlike the Brinewing, Brinicles can freeze larger fauna such as Pengwings or a Cryptosuchus. They spawn naturally and will start to grow to their max size in which they will stay in their position for a while before shattering. Any creature caught by it will remain frozen until the brinicle shatters. By using a knife, the player can shatter brinicles, which can free other creatures trapped inside.
