- When the Twisty Bridges were intended to be a biome in the base game of Subnautica, they were meant to bridge the now removed gap between the Deep Grand Reef and Inactive Lava Zone.
- Before it was decided that the Cuddlefish would be a pet in the base game, it was planned to spawn in the Twisty Bridges.
