</infobox> Fred Lachance is a member of the Alterra Corporation, working in Sector Zero as a Seatruck pilot. He resided at Delta Station alongside Jeremiah Murgle before the base was abandoned for unknown reasons.

Events in Sector Zero

At an unspecified time, Fred seemed to work with delivery in the Emergency Supply Cache in the Arctic Kelp Forest. It is during this were Sea Monkeys stole most of the supplies that were to be shipped for delivery due to Fred running low on Flares. He then references that he would search nearby Sea Monkey Nest for stolen cargo.

It is then seen that Lillian Bench asked him to drive her to the Twisty Bridges via Seatruck to likely investigate the strange interference in the area. In term, he got in trouble with Emmanuel Desjardins for taking Lillian away from her main work on land.

Fred then finds the Frozen Leviathan in a cave located in the Glacial Basin. He quickly called it in the everyone else and the cave was then weirdly sealed off. He was quick to ponder its strange skin condition, calling it alien. He then specified all the events to Sam Ayou, who thinks of the idea to use the Spy Pengling to see the Frozen Leviathan.

After Fred finding the Frozen Leviathan, him, Sam Ayou, Parvan Ivanov, and Vinh Pham play a game of Alien Intruder in which Sam says that they should do something about the Frozen Leviathan and what Alterra could be doing with it. However, everyone, including Fred, simply push it away and continue playing the game.
