Template:Infobox Biome The Inactive Lava Zone is an experimental biome characterized by large, arching structures with a hardened lava texture.

It can be found at 1000 to 1300 meters down. At its center, a large structure called the Lava Castle can be found. Limestone chunks can be found in this biome.

The lava currently doesn't do any damage to the player.

One can teleport to this biome by typing "BIOME INACTIVELAVART" into the console after enabling it through the F3 menu.

At the back of the Aurora, and in Grand Reef (in the deepest part in the seabed), that is the only two ways into the Inactive Lava Zone besides teleporting using the Debug Console Commands.

Speculation

An artwork published by the developers suggests that the player may need an Exosuit to navigate the Inactive Lava Zone. It is unknown if that is due to heat or pressure.

It is possible that Lava Lizards and Lava Larvae will inhabit the Inactive Lava Zone.
