The '''Observatory''' is a small glass room that can no longer be obtained legitimately in the game. It is a medium-sized glass box with two entrances on each side. The '''Observatory''' seems to have oxygen inside of it, even though there is no way for [[oxygen]] to be inside and no way to renew it. The '''Observatory''' is very lightweight, and even fish can move it. |

It will be place-able with a builder and will attach on one of four sides to either regular or the unimplemented corridors. given the inability of players to place modules on windows it is unlikely that anything will be able to be placed inside the observatory, unless dropped. From the appearance of the WIP model on Sketchfab it does not appear that hatches can be placed on the top or bottom of the Observatory, though they may be able to be built on the sides.. |

The Observatory is an in-development Sea-base Module scheduled for release with the next patch and is as of right now is not available in any way in either stable or experimental builds.
The Observatory's primary use is to observe life forms in their natural habitat.
n.b. Given the room flooding mechanic and the implementation of Base Bulkheads in future, a player could pheasably deliberately flood the observatory, seal it with a two-hatch corridor, and then fill it with fish in order to use it as an over-sized aquarium. However without the ability to test this method it remains a theory.
