This results in a substance with incredible heat insulation. It is an advanced material and is crafted with the Fabricator. Gel Sacks and Aluminum Oxide Crystals are needed for crafting this. It is also used in the construction of the Prawn Suit.

• Aerogel is a synthetic porous ultralight material derived from a gel, in which the liquid component of the gel has been replaced with a gas. Its purpose is to protect against heat and fire. It is a refractory material which can be used in linings for furnaces, kilns, incinerators and reactors. It is based on a real material used in astronaut suits and containment of materials with harsh temperature.
