Fragments of the Laser Cutter must be scanned in order for its blueprint to be unlocked. Its primary function is opening sealed doors in Wrecks and the Aurora. It has an Energy level which can be replenished with a Battery. When equipped, it emits light in a five-meter radius from the player.

Trivia

  • In previous versions of the game, the Laser Cutter was crafted at the Modification Station with a Repair Tool and a Diamond.
  • Previously, for every 2% of usage on an object, the Laser Cutter's battery percentage went down by 1%. Thus the player could get two objects opened before needing to replace the battery.
