Power Cells are one source of Energy, the other being batteries

Energy is used for several items and vehicles and is needed for them to operate.

When energy runs out, the player can use a battery or power cell (default R) to refill the energy.

The Cyclops, seabases, and the escape pod do not require energy in Freedom Mode.
