Template:Class 2 FaunaThe Ghost Leviathan is an in-development life form belonging to the faunaSubnautica.It is currently the second largest aggressive creature of Subnautica, and the third largest overall.

Appearance

The Ghost Leviathan has a transparent outer covering, over a blue inner body which features many dark blue stripes, four yellow, bioluminescent eyes as well as six small fins on the torso section. A small, decorative sail sits on top of the head, and two long structures protruding from either side of its head which bear similarities to the blades of a hammerhead shark. It has a rectangular mouth with a glowing barbule beneath and a long body that tapers to a point. The outer body is transparent, allowing the smaller, inner body to be viewed. The inner body is long and thin, with multiple small protrusions tipped with bioluminescent orange spots. Unlike the outer body, the inner body has a distinct neck that is very thin and joins the head and body. It is also roughly twice the length of the Reaper Leviathan.

Future Plans

The Ghost Leviathan will likely spawn in the void, as a means to prevent players from going off the map.^[1]

Trivia

The sounds of the Ghost Leviathan were created from two people screaming and noises from a bull.^[2]
The Ghost Leviathan has also been referred to as the Phantom Leviathan.
In Early Development, The Ghost Leviathan uses Boneshark AI and Sounds, However, This is certain to change.
