Greetings. I believe I might be a low poly in-development pygmy fan, but I'll have to check. If you can work out what my hideous picture is, I'll give you a sixpence.
As a systematist, I find the lack of taxonomical accuracy quite aggregious, and have expressed my sad views below.
In any case, Subnautica is superb game - finally a game with some zoological integrity.

My favourite taxonomical bug bears

- Blood vine / Creep vine / Blood vine roots are Heterokont eukaryotes - not Flora
- Acid mushroom / Deep shroom / Jaffa cup are Fungi - not Flora
- All corals should be classified as fauna
- Alien drone is clearly synthetic
- Blue barnacle is... oh well done. Yes it is an animal.
- Bloom plankton unlikely to be wholly metazoan. Most likely a blend of eukaryotes - diatoms...
