The Compass is a crafted piece of Equipment made using the Fabricator. It is used as a basic navigational device with cardinal direction indicators. In the PDA UI it can used by being placed in one of the HUD slots.

The compass takes up one (1) slot in player inventory.
The compass shows at the top middle of the screen, under the depth meter.
Facing South (S).
