Precursor Caches are structures built by the Precursors primarily for storage purposes. They can contain various Precursor technology, such as Ion Crystals and data terminals.

A Precursor Cache can be found located in a cave system beneath the Sparse Reef, right next to the Sea Treader's Path. A Purple Artifact is required for access.

A second Precursor Cache is found deep in a cave in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone, which also requires a Purple Artifact.

Data Hubs

Found within Precursor Cache's are data hubs, these data hubs are designed to contain the minds and history of Precursors whose physical forms have died, each hub being independently powered by the Ion Crystal on top of them.
