This article contains information that is updated for the latest Experimental Version of Subnautica. Players using stable mode may find this information inaccurate.

Precursor Artifacts are items required to access Precursor Bases.

The Artifacts are very odd in appearance. They quite are large and are similar to an SD card in shape, and they feature various holes and attachments.

All five Precursor Artifacts can be obtained by typing precursorkeys into the console.

The Orange Artifact can be found in the Deep Grand Reef Abandoned Seabase on a table, and is presumed to be what the Degasi survivors discovered, as shown in this log.

The Purple Artifact is used in the upper section, and near the moonpool of the Precursor Ground-To-Air Weapon System.
